LOQUI: Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC)

Loqui is designed to empower seniors living with speech impairments—due to stroke, injury, or degenerative conditions—to communicate effectively and independently in daily life. Through a simple interface and physical number pad input, the app provides quick access to essential phrases, helping users navigate social, medical, and personal situations with dignity.

Problem Statement: Many seniors lose their ability to speak due to medical conditions, leaving them isolated and unable to express basic needs or emotions. Caregivers often struggle to understand them in urgent or everyday scenarios.

Solution: Loqui offers a customizable, icon-based phrasebook connected to a number pad, enabling rapid communication using simple numeric input. Paired with audio feedback and easy categorization, it creates an accessible experience for users of varying mobility and cognitive ability.
